Old people

As the individual develops, learning starts and develops as the development process continues. The learning can either is enhanced by teachers in schools or other individuals in the society. This means that whether in school or in the society, learning is part of all normally developing individuals. Thats is the reason why many people argues and considers every day to be a learning day. In school teachers equip the students with knowledge, skill and technology.

The acquired skills and knowledge advances as the individual moves along various education levels with age as a determiner. This means that an individual in secondary education level has more years in school than a primary school student, and at the same time, has advanced knowledge. Individuals in higher education have greater knowledge than a secondary school student. As the individual develops more knowledge and sills are acquired either from school teacher, society, or through individuals experience on various encounters through out his, or her development life.

As the individual gets old, he or she acquires greater experience from many involvements and encounters in various aspects of life are acquired compared to young people. Aging offers an individual more time to do what the individual would have wanted to do in life. Many people have great dreams and set goals which they target to meet in their life. Some targets at achieving high education in their life, and others have plans to live the best living standards.

Getting old offers these individual time to do all the thing that would ensure they achieve their goals, since the individual has more time in life. Without getting old, it would mean having little or no time for an individual meet his or her desire. Time to do all the wanted this would be limited. Old people have more wisdom than all other people in the human development process. They are believed to have all what is needed in life, which is thought to be acquired over their long living time. Most people contact the elderly people to get a share of their wisdom and knowledge.

In many societies, the elderly, are respected for their wisdom and knowledge. Disputes and arguments between individuals in the society are presented to the elderly for judgment, as their decisions are considered wise, and final. Elderly people are considered to have greater awareness of priorities, a fact that makes with to be sought by many people in various society for advices, as they are believed to have sufficient knowledge and skills to determine what is important, good and bad in life (Sternberg 1990, pp. 128). The aged are given priorities in life.

The aging process reduces or interferes with the normal setting of an individual. For example the aged are believed to be grumpy, as a result of getting old. However they they are not condemned for being grumpy, rather they are given the right to be grumpy. Although the aged and old people’s grumpy behavior is understood by majority of the people in the society, it is different with other age groups. Such character trait among the young people in the society is condemned, and such individuals are considered as disgrace to the society.

Grandchildren are pride to the old and aged people. The aged love being associated with grand children. There is an average maturity age, which individuals are capable of reproducing the age is reached as the individual develops . For example a female is mature to reproduce at about the age of nine years. If an individual gives birth at this age, the born children will mature and reach similar age when the mother is still young. As the mother gets old, chances of increased grandchildren, and great grand children -the pride of the aging mother.
