Pharmacy is one of the most challenging but highly rewarding professions in the field of medicine. Aside from this, pharmacists are considered as an integral part of the health care industry. Without their expertise and skills, patients would simply get worse from their conditions or die from their illnesses. It is because of these facts that pushed me to pursue a degree in Doctor of Pharmacy. Ever since I was a child, I have noticed that I have this natural inclination to help others especially to those who are inflicted with poor health. I tend to take care of my family whenever they are sick.
But most importantly, I take note of all the medicines that they intake to ensure that they are receiving the proper medication in sufficient dosage. With this realization, I pushed myself to attain my goal of being a pharmacist but not just any ordinary pharmacist, I want to be the best and the most reliable pharmacist in Florida and hopefully all over the United States. In line with this, I believe that Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Pharmacy can provide the necessary knowledge and training so that I can turn my dreams into a reality.
LECOM is equipped with a well-rounded academic curriculum, an extensive collection of educational resources, high-quality school equipment and facilities, a highly intellectual and respectable faculty and a wide-range of affiliated clinics and hospitals. Moreover, the three year program in the Doctor of Pharmacy is very specific with the clinical aspect of pharmacy which is intended to prepare students in becoming competent, compassionate and ethical pharmacy practitioners in order to meet the current and forthcoming pharmaceutical care needs of a complex and diverse society.
Also, LECOM offers scholarships and financial assistance so that students will not be further burden by the woes of paying tuition and other fees. As a result, they can concentrate on their studies and eventually fulfil their dreams in life. Through these learning elements combined with the world-class facilities, I believe that LECOM is the best venue to be educated and to be trained in becoming a distinguished pharmacist.
