Medicine and Summer Merit Program

Summer Merit Program Essay I believe that my acceptance into the Summer Merit Program will affect my life in three positive ways. It will affect my life by giving me insight into pharmaceutical science and ophthalmic technologies, giving me a chance to meet and learn from interesting professors who can give me guidance in the medical field, and finally by giving me a chance to broaden my horizons within the medical field.

These are just a few of the many reasons this program will benefit me and my future. First, this program will give me insight into pharmaceutical science and ophthalmic technologies. Accepting me into this program will make me well versed on new and interesting ophthalmic and pharmaceutical advances. It is important that I am educated on these advances so that I can better understand the future of pharmacology and ophthalmology. I am interested in neurology and these courses are of great interest to me.

Also, my acceptance into the program will give me a chance to meet and learn from interesting professors who can give me guidance in the medical field. This program will introduce me to the latest cutting edge information and technology. That is another reason I believe opportunities such as this program to be of high importance to both my immediate and distant future in medicine. Lastly, this merit program will broaden my horizons within the medical field. I am confident that when I attend the classes that this program offers, I will learn about more than just pharmacology and ophthalmology.

I also think this early introduction to Tarrant County Community College will be helpful when I attend dual credit classes in the fall. In conclusion, the Summer Merit program will be very beneficial to my future in medicine. It will provide me with insight into pharmaceutical science and ophthalmic technologies, while providing a nurturing environment and hands on training. All these reasons and many more support the fact that this program would be a valuable part of my medical foundation.
