There are many offences which are being committed within the united state. These offences are of differs in their degree. According to research data, most of the arrested are detained for petty cases. Since mid of 19th century, the justice and detention system has been using a number of ways as correction measures. The detention of suspects in the custodies of the police has always been criticized due to lack of enough facilities to take care of the different people arrested for various cases. The little concern over the nature of cases by the criminal justice systems has continually led to the over congestion in the custodies.
The overcrowding of suspects in the police custodies creates a lot of pressure not only to the victims arrested but also to the government criminal management. The rise of the recent methods of dealing with the suspects has therefore been as a result from such challenges and criticisms. In the struggle to contain these criminal issues within the US, several ways such incarcerations, probations and diversion has been formed for the mitigation of both the lives of the criminal suspects and for better government control over the people held under their hands. The use of diversion not only helps in maintaining the offenders at close relations with the community and their families, but it is also paramount in helping the offenders to contribute to the building of the states. Many of those offenders who might be put in the jail persons either in their youthful age or those young married couples.
These are persons who are highly depended for the growth and development of a nation. It is through the use of diversion method that men and women would be able to continued providing for their families as well as maintaining and increasing the productivity of the nation.
