In order to efficiently determine the future of supply management practices in the American healthcare industry, the researcher shall determine its current status by highlighting the problems and challenges that they are currently facing. To meet these objectives, this study shall make use of both quantitative and qualitative methods. For the quantitative aspect, a survey shall be used in order to obtain the opinions of one hundred and fifty (150) respondents who shall receive the data collection tool through the used of modern technology such as email, or otherwise be mailed to them.
Nonetheless, the researcher reiterates that the manner by which the questionnaires shall be distributed would make use of other means, not delivered personally. This chapter shall then be devoted to the discussion of the different methodologies that the researcher would use in this study. Basically, it would not only present a definition of the methods to be used but it would also give the advantages of choosing these methods over the others.
Moreover, this chapter also aims to achieve the following: first, to outline the manner by which data shall be collected; second, to specify the research participants and how they shall be selected; third, to state how data collection would be undertaken, its steps and procedures; fourth, to summarize analytical or evaluative methodology; and finally, to provide tools and measurements that would help the researcher in proving the validity and reliability of the data. For the qualitative part of this study, articles published regarding the topic shall be used.
These articles would be essential in determining the measures by which researchers analyzed the supply management practices of the healthcare industry vis-a-vis the other sectors that are said to be more advanced than that of the former. In the same manner, the articles and books that the researcher shall be using for this study would help in determining the future of this management tool within the healthcare sector of the United States of America. As it has been mentioned, this study shall make use of several methodologies in order to analyze the supply management practices of the American healthcare industry.
These methodologies would be of vital importance as this paper delves into the current status and future of supply management within the healthcare sector of the United States of America. In the same manner, the methodologies used from both the qualitative and quantitative approach would help in looking into how these challenges could be addressed and addressed in order to ensure the efficiency of such practices to prevent it from lagging behind the processes of the other industries (i. e. automotive and retail).
