Have you experience a scenario wherein a person who you do not know, suddenly collapse in front of you with no known origin of disease or illness?. Or may be have you experience a child is drowned in the pool, and you are only a person who is in that location? This kind of scenarios is really hard, especially if you don’t have any knowledge or information what to do in order to help them. Of course as we talk about human nature, people tend to feel guilty when he or she cannot contribute in order to help the person who is in need.

Sometimes feeling of guilty to his or her self, especially if a person who is in need is your immediate family, this may lead to depression and eventually it may result psychiatric disorder. As the time passes by, many developments have been evolve especially in the world of health care. An important period for health care is by the creation of what we call as “first aid” First aid, literally, is the immediate care given to an cutely injured or ill person. It is the temporary assistance that is rendered until competent, professional care, if required, arrives and takes over the scene.

It is indeed true that if you study a first aid program or anything that is related to health care or nursing the client, It is very likely that your friends and family will start asking your advice about how to relieve sprains, lessens the spasm caused by mosquito bites or any animal bites or even how apply heat and cold compress in an injuries. While you always want to be sure to respect the limits of your professional knowledge and skill and refer people appropriately for professional services, you will find it extremely helpful to know basic first aid.

There are many scenarios that we may think that we couldn’t help or do the procedure because we believe that it’s the professional health care team will be the responsible for that scenario. I barely disagree to that occurrences, as a simple individual of the society, a person could help in an emergency scenarios, if the knowledge that a person is enough and appropriate to the given scenario. When the Good Samaritan Law was not yet filed being the country’s law.

If a person who caught helping a dying an individual, let just say in an accidents or scenarios that is very traumatic making him vulnerable to injuries, and if these individual died on the hands of the person who help the individual. It is stated under the law that these person is liable for the death of the individual. This issues is very controversial on that time, until such time, a law is passed as the “Good Samaritan Law”, this law protects a person who help a dying individual in an emergency situation.

It is also said in the law that the goal of the person is to help the dying individual as much as he can. A person cannot be sued for giving first aid unless it can be show that that you are guilty of gross negligence. Good Samaritan Law is synonymous to giving a first aid in an individual who is compromised because of the occurrences of accidents. Acquiring a basic knowledge on how to do first aid to a person, is a very fulfilling one.

You might not use it in every day routine like of giving Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation. But it will serve as an investment if a disaster or accident occurs.
