With urine, man has find nature as a help to cure his illnesses, enhance his well-being and even advances his chances to survival. Reason 1: Historical accounts have indicated that every culture has included urine therapy for diseases or injury. A. Urine therapy or urotherapy can be traced back as far as 5,000 years to early civilizations such as Aztecs, ancient Egyptians, ancient Chinese, and Native Americans. It is believed that the origin of this practice comes from certain religious rites among Hindus, where it is called amaroli in tantric religious traditions (naturalstandard.
com) B. Saharan Bedouins use urine to clean burns and wounds. It is the same medical practice described in the Ebers Papyrus of 1500 B. C, one of the oldest surviving documents of Egyptian history (heartlandhealing. com). C. Morarji Desai who was the Prime minister of India from 1977 to 1979 was one of the most famous users of urine therapy. On the occasion of his ninety-ninth birthday in 1995, Desai attributed his longevity to drinking his morning urine on a daily basis (Heartlandhealing. com). D.
In 1971, at the University of Kyoto in Japan it was found in the urine important antibodies to fight infections and malignant tumors (anael. org). Reason 2: At the beginning of the life, every human being has drunk his own urine. When we were within our mother’s bosom and the genital organs were developed, the kidney functioned and since then we began to drink our own urine (anael. org). Urine consists of 95% of water, 2. 5% of urea and the remaining 2. 5% is a mixture of minerals , salts, hormones and enzymes (universal-tao. com). Only urea, the substance after which urine is named, can be poisonous when present in the blood.
However, this is irrelevant in the practice of drinking urine, as urine is not immediately put back in the bloodstream. In small amounts urea gets back into the body, it is purifying, and clears up excess mucus. Urine is entirely sterile after secretion and has an antiseptic effect. Reason 3: Urine as a survival tool. They took what was the only recourse by drinking their own urine. This eventually saved their lives.

The 33-year-old slipped and dislocated his hip while walking. As he waited for rescuers to find him, he tried to exist on powdered chocolate and raw oats, but eventually resorted to urinating into a cup and drinking a few drops a day.
He said: “It was pretty awful but in all, I did it around five times to keep myself hydrated. ” (independent. co. uk) Conclusion: Urine in one way or the other has proven in every culture that through its proper guidance and usage, it is nature’s gift to mankind.
