France has probably the best universal Health care in the world, while Health in the USA especially for the uninsured is almost a disaster. The lack of Universal Health Care in the USA may be as a result of the following things; (1) Uninsured citizens – USA has an average of 45 million people who are not insured. This leads to most of these people lacking adequate body check ups including glucose monitoring something that increases the risk of getting hospitalization or getting disabled.
Some diseases if detected at an early stage can be handled easily without having such bad results such as disabilities. (2)The cost involved in having a Universal Health Care is the other factor that has made USA go this long without a medical for all, there is the question of how much it would cost the government , the cost of not achieving it and finally whether the costs of having this would outweigh the benefits.
(3) Americans values as relating to this issue would be described as a result of their belief to this statement ‘ Economic Efficiency’ which translates to getting good value for money, therefore Americans paying directly for their medical fee means to them that they are getting good diagnosis for the money. In France, this matter is shared between private and public, with workers facing a mandatory contribution with the government interfering with the cases of the poor people who are unable to meet their share in the contribution.
