Dr. Tullio Simoncini, an oncologist, came up with a simple, cheap and, according to him effective, cancer treatment plan. the plan is based on oral or infusion of sodium bicarbonate elements into the cancer patient. According to Simoncini the direct application of the said substance to the cancerous cells destroys the fungal colonies that are the pillar for the tumors seen in cancer patients. Direct application to the affected part is also possible for some organ tissues for instance the oral cavity, though he advice that the supervision of a medical practitioner is of paramount importance in such operations.
The doctors has reported success in his therapy in treating various forms of tumors including intestinal, bladder, prostrate, lung, bladder, breast and many more. The success includes the elimination of the tumor for a period of up to twenty years. According to Simoncini the fungi is sensitive to the sodium bicarbonate solution when the tumor is under three centimetres thus implying that the percentage of the sodium solution will have to be 90% for terminal cases and 50% for other cases for maximum effectiveness.
According to Simoncini the side effects of the use of the bicarbonate therapy which include thirst and temporary tiredness, are minor compared to the positive effects the therapy will have on the individuals health. Due to the known effect of the sodium bicarbonate on people suffering from renal, hepatic and heart problems there is need to monitor the amount they are administered though he further stresses on the need to try and give the patients the maximum allowable limits.
The therapy which works on the assumption that the cancers are indeed fungal organism is based on the idea of making the environment unbearable for the cancers by changing the environments PH to a more basic one. This is the same principle applied by most fast line anti fungal products, as the basic environment weakens the virus thus giving the body tissues a chance to fight back (15-23). Sodium Bicarbonate Use in hospitals The most common use of Sodium bicarbonate is in reducing stomach acids. It thus as an acid treat heartburns, stomach upsets, constipation and indigestion.
It is indeed a quick acting antacid and should therefore be used only for temporary relief (24). Sodium bicarbonate has also been used for other reasons for instance in making urine less acidic especially for people with sore urinal tracks or infections. It also helps in getting rid of uric acid thus reducing the risk of developing kidney stones. Medical practitioners have in special cases prescribed sodium bicarbonate to prevent certain metabolic problems, to improve the efficiency of some medication for instance sulfonamides and to also help the body get rid of excess medication.
Furthermore, the bicarbonate of soda can also be used in chelating ionising radiation and killing bacteria (25-26). The side effects of Sodium bicarbonate are only adverse in people suffering from hepatic or earth problems, otherwise the administration of has few manageable side effects that include gas and a little bit of thirst. Since the effects, use and side effects of Sodium Bicarbonate are well known by the medical fraternity it’s use as a remedy for cancer will not bring any complications that may surprise the medics (27-30). Systematic review
Systematic review 1 Guideline: Effectiveness of Sodium Bicarbonate in preventing radiation induced oral mucositis. Objective: To ascertain if the administration of Sodium bicarbonate has a bearing on oral mucositis. Methodology: Six people who have recently been exposed to radiation are required, three of them are made to use water that has Sodium bicarbonate to brush daily while the other three use pure water for ten days. Observations :Only one of the three who used sodium bicarbonate developed oral mucositis while all who didn’t use it developed oral mucositis
Conclusions: The administration of Sodium Bicarbonate may have an effect on oral mucositis Systematic review 2 Guideline: Assessment of effect of administration of anti fungal cream on oral mucositis Objective: To ascertain if anti fungal cream has an effect on oral mucositis Methodology: Two out of four people suffering from mucositis are administered with anti fungal treatment while the others are not for seven days Observations : The people administered with anti fungal treatment showed significant improvements as compared to those who did not.
Conclusions: Anti fungal medication has effect on oral mucositis. Systematic review 3 Guideline: Assessment of the effect of Sodium by carbonate on Candida. Objective: To establish the effect of Sodium Bicarbonate on Candida. Methodology: One out of two people suffering from Candida was required to bathe daily with water containing 5% concentration of Soda for six days while the other bathe with pure water Observations : The person who bathed with Soda solution showed significant improvement than the on who bathed with pure water. Conclusions: Soda might have an effect on Candida. Systematic review 4
Guideline: Assessing the effect of Soda on foot rot. Objective: To determine if Soda has an effect on foot rot Methodology: Three out of six cows suffering from foot rot had their feet cleaned with a 5% solution of Soda twice a day for five days while the others were cleaned using water. Observations : The cows that had their feet cleaned using a soda solution showed significant improvements compared to those that used pure water. Conclusions: Soda might have an effect on foot rot. Systematic review 5 Guideline: Assessing the effect of the concentration of Soda on the effect it has on foot rot.
Objective: To determine if the concentration of Soda has an effect on foot rot Methodology: Three out of six cows suffering from foot rot had their feet cleaned with a 35% solution of Soda twice a day for five days while the others were cleaned using a 2% solution of Soda in the same manner. Observations : The cows that had their feet cleaned using a 35% soda solution showed significant improvements compared to those that used a 5% soda solution. Conclusions: The concentration of the Soda might affects the effect the Soda has on foot rot.
Systematic review 6 Guideline: Assessment of the effect of concentration of Soda on it’s effect on Candida. Objective: To establish the effect of the concentration of soda on it’s effect on Candida. Methodology: One out of two people suffering from Candida was required to bathe daily with water containing 25% concentration of Soda for six days while the other bathe with a 1% solution of Soda. Observations : The person who bathed with a 25% Soda solution showed significant improvement than the one who bathed with the 5% soda solution.
Conclusions: The concentration of the Soda has a bearing on the effect it has on Candida. Systematic review 7 Guideline: The effect of the concentration of Sodium Bicarbonate in preventing radiation induced oral mucositis Objective: To ascertain if the administration of a higher concentration of Sodium bicarbonate has a bearing on it’s effect on oral mucositis. Methodology: Six people who have recently been exposed to radiation are required, three of them are made to use a 5% soda solution to brush daily while the other three use a 0. 5% soda solution to brush for ten days.
Observations :All who used 5% soda solution were free of oral mucositis while only one of those who used the 0. 5% solution was free. Conclusions: The concentration of soda has an effect on the effectiveness of the solution in preventing oral mucositis. Systematic Review 8 Guideline: The effect of a soda on fungus Objective: To ascertain if Soda has an effect on fungal growth Methodology: Two loaves of bread are made one using baking powder while the other one without then they are left on the open and observed to see which one mould will grow on first.
Observation: Mould first grew on the loaf that was made without baking powder. Conclusion: Soda slows down the growth of mould. Comment A cure for cancer is yet to be discovered though in some cases the cancer may complete disappear or just disappear for some time. Remission is used in medical terms to describe the shrinking of cancer, thus complete remission may imply cure. It is generally easier to treat cancer if it is discovered in it’s initial stages.
There are several ways through which remission is achieved which include radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery. These methods are generally use alongside complementary therapy. There are many theories hat have been brought out about the existence of a cure for cancer. The truth remains that there is no cure for cancer and it still remains one of the most dangerous threat to he human race. In the past several years billions of shillings have been directed towards research aimed at coming up with a cure for cancer, but the results have not been forthcoming.
The billions have been a goldmine for pharmaceutical and chemical companies who have been generating profits while the cancer epidermic escalates. There is need to take a different approach in the search of the cure for cancer. the most appropriate direction will be the one that has some kind of limelight thus the proposal to delve into the effects of Sodium bicarbonate on cancer should be given a thorough look.
