Initiates and participate in planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of programs to ensure they meet clients needs and support the objectives in nursing practice. Use knowledge transfer techniques to ensure research based knowledge is put into use. Advanced judgment and decision making. Critically analyze and influence health policies. I believe that I am academically qualified for the task. Some of the qualifications I posses that are relevant to advanced nursing practice include:

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing: I therefore possess the theoretical background of nursing and can be useful in promoting nursing research, development of new information, academic preparations, synthesize and transfer knowledge to ensure the incorporation of new knowledge into the practice of nursing. Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management: Advanced nursing requires the incorporation of other disciples into the practice of learning to ensure efficiency.

A post graduate diploma in strategic management clearly displays my lifelong commitment to learning which is a key characteristic of advanced nursing practice, it also provides me with multiple avenues through which to resolve problems and base decision making. This advanced knowledge ensures proper decision making and proves my worth in the field of research and development. Diploma in Information systems: Information is key to the development and management of healthcare issues.

Information systems are relevant to the development of any system that requires transmission of instructions and orders from one entity to the other. This qualification empower me to be appreciative of changes in technology, be relevant to ensuring efficient communication, handle research and communication in any form in the best manner possible and be considerate of nearly all variables involved in decision making. Experience To develop competencies required for the advanced nursing practice, one require both a good nursing background and clinical experience.

These are some of the areas that I have acquired skills and experiences that I feel are relevant to advanced nursing practice: Tricare Clairmont Mesa Primary Care Clinic, Sep 08-Present: Under preceptor supervision, I worked 57 hours, in a Primary Care Clinic. My duties included obtaining history; performing physical examinations; making diagnosis and ordering appropriate work-up and treatment. Moreover, ordering and retrieving appropriate laboratory, radiological and other special procedures were part of my job description.

San Diego State Urgent Care Clinic and Student Health Clinic, Under preceptor supervision, where I worked for 50 hours and attended to over forty patients under emergency care. Chula Vista Internal Medicine Group, June 2008-August 2008. Under preceptor supervision, worked 50 hours with patients with multiple complex co-morbidities. I was also responsible for continual management of patients with chronic medical conditions and adjustment of chronic medication regimens.

I was also responsible for conducting physical examinations, patient assessments, diagnosis, testing and wound care. I also interacted with patient families to keep them abreast of patient condition. Navy Medical Center San Diego Acute Care Department, Jan-May 08 Under supervision of the preceptor, I worked for 135 hours in acute care department. My duties included assessment and treatment of walk-in patients of all ages based on protocols. This included ordering and interpreting X-ray and laboratory tests and suturing lacerations.
