Health and beauty partnership with Oasis

At the last managers’ meeting it was agreed to invite external franchise operators to submit tenders for setting up their franchise operations within each of our stores. I am pleased to report that Oasis have been successful in attaining the franchise and they expect to commence “moving in” as soon as is practical. All their products are made from natural ingredients without chemical additives and the products are not tested on animals. As many of you may know up till now they have confined their sales to mail order and the occasional craft fair.

All their packaging has been in brown wrapping paper. Oasis is now trying to expand by setting up outlets in approved shops and it is going to up its profile. Their range of health and beauty products will be sold initially at our Exeter shop under their “Oasis” brand names, however the overall scheme will be marketed under our name. We will be monitoring this operation very closely and are aware that sales of their products might detract from our brands.

It is a distinct possibility that Oasis will add some of our products to their list and they will be marketed under the Oasis label. In the meantime we will carefully monitor the sales of the Oasis products in order to see if they do attract custom and to see how they affect the sales of our own brands.  At the last managers’ meeting it was agreed to invite external franchise operators to submit tenders for setting up their franchise operations within each of our stores.
