People have wide different personalities. We all have strengths and weaknesses. What is right for one person may not be right for another. There are things that are important to me that you don’t care about at all. For most people the fear of public speaking is more than for death. How can it be possible? Well, I am one of them. I think that to speak in front of a crowd you need to have a special ability that personally I don’t have.
The problem is because I focus in myself rather than in the message I am trying to deliver. My thoughts are consumed in whether or not they would like my speech, or if I make a mistake, or even if they don’t understand my way to speak, my way to reach them toward the point I am trying to take them. I think they are judging or staring at me and this makes me more nervous even at the point I totally blackout. I don’t really know if this fear came with my personality or the way that I behave in front of public, but truly I wish I had the gift to speak in front of a crowd without making nervous, anxious, butterflies in my stomach among other symptoms. There are a few steps to overcome that fear.
For example the moment that we get applause at the end of a speech can make you feel more comfortable. You can do a serial of exercise to overcome nervousness like deep breathing or practice in front or a mirror. The point is that when I am in front of a crowd I forget all of these things.
